CBD (or cannabidiol) is the active ingredient in the hemp or cannabis plant. Our CBD comes from organically grown Italian hemp plantations. CBD is extracted in our factory near the hemp fields in Slovenia. This way we can guarantee the highest quality CBD products.
In general, it is legal to buy CBD within the EU, as long as the CBD is produced and sold in a country where it is legal. The condition is that the product does not contain THC, the psychoactive ingredient in the cannabis plant.
However, we advise customers to check local legislation.
Our products are produced in Slovenia, where CBD legislation is advanced, and our company is located in Estonia, where CBD cosmetics are fully legal.
CBD and THC are both ingredients found in the hemp plant. CBD stands for cannabidiol and THC for tetrahydrocannabinol. The main difference between the ingredients is that CBD is not psychoactive, while THC is.
This means that THC is intoxicating (“high”) and CBD is not. When Arctic Cosmetics CBD is extracted from hemp, all the THC is removed. Our products are therefore completely THC free.
